Being a new and upcoming producer trying to get artists to try a new sound is quite a bit of a challenge, at least from my experience. Once upon a time, I collaborated with an artist (singer) from Ukraine. The idea was to create a smooth record with a voice that I knew had to be very distinctive. Moving forward a bit, after listening to a few talented artists, I decided to do my research and reach out to a singer by the name of Liliia Kysil. I had never heard of her before; however, once I heard her voice, I knew the magic was there. I reached out to Liliia as a new and upcoming producer and simply asked Liliia if she was okay with trying music that was out of her normal niche. Her reply was, "Yes, if I like the music, I will give it some vocals." From there, after getting Red Poet Writes to write the vocals for Sometimes, I emailed the vocals and the instrumental to Liliia, and after about 3 weeks, I received the raw vocals back. You don't understand how excited I was as a producer to land a singer from another country to collaborate on a track that was totally out of her comfort zone. When you listen to Sometimes and Sometimes Part 2, you will clearly see the difference in the two tracks. As a creator, I want those who I don't speak to often to understand the method to the madness. Sometimes, and Sometimes Part 2 represent evolution. Nothing is perfect in the beginning; however, it sure gets better the more you work at anything. The Sometimes tracks sound so different that it's hard to really classify them under any genre. It's a real chill and relaxed track. Until next time. PTMG is "Where everything is sound related." - F. Rogers
